Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications.

United States citizen
High school diploma or GED
21 years of age
No driver's license suspension in last 5 years (Police Officers Only)
Not under indictment or convicted of any felony
Not on court-ordered community supervision or probation for any criminal offense above a Class C misdemeanor
No convictions for any criminal offense above a Class C misdemeanor in last 5 years
Possess a basic peace officer license issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) (Police Officers Only)
Eyesight correctable to 20/20 (Police Officers Only)
Capable of performing the essential duties of the position

The Hiring Process
